Number and Reach of CRE Train Continue Expanding
During the 14th Five-Year Plan Period

Since the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Tianjin has been actively developing a westward "rail Silk Road". In 2024, CRE and China-Central Asia Railway Express services departing from Tianjin Port exceeded 600 trains, transporting over 60,000 TEUs, marking a significant year-on-year increase.
Through expansion and upgrading, CR-Tianjin Container Center Station has boosted its annual handling capacity from 400,000 TEUs to 800,000 TEUs. At present, the China-Central Asia Express from Tianjin operates on a fixed schedule, with six trains per week, reaching core cities in Central Asia within ten days.
This major logistics corridor has further deepened economic and trade cooperation between China and Central Asian countries, serving as an important link in advancing the Belt and Road Initiative.
