In recent days, construction has been in full swing at the site of the Eastern Guangdong Intercity Railway in Rongcheng district, Jieyang city, Guangdong province. The 140-kilometer line will link transport hubs including Shantou Railway Station, Chaoshan Railway Station, Jieyang Railway Station and Jieyang Chaoshan Airport. Once completed, the project will enable a "30-minute commuting circle" among Shantou, Chaoshan and Jieyang, contributing to the formation of a "one-hour transport circle" across eastern Guangdong.
