On October 14, after 32 hours of continuous work, the final 58.8-ton steel box girder was hoisted and welded into place, marking the successful closure of the Suining Fujiang Super Major Bridge, a key control project of the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High Speed Railway. This signifies that the construction of the first fully connected control bridge on the entire line has entered the final stage.
The Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High Speed Railway stretches 477 kilometers with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. As a crucial section of the Yangtze River corridor in China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, the line will connect with the Chongqing-Xi'an High Speed Railway through the Dazhou hub, further connecting to Zhengzhou-Xi'an High Speed Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and other railway lines. It will establish a rapid rail corridor linking Sichuan directly to the Yangtze River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei economic regions, contributing to the development of the "Chengdu-Chongqing dual-city economic circle on rails."
