In the Wuling Mountain area of western Hunan, transportation is inconvenient, and most of the residents are elderly. They often carry baskets and bundles of goods on the public "slow trains" (trains 7266/7265 and trains 7272/7271) to neighboring counties and cities to sell agricultural products.

　　In September 2021, as internet technology advanced, live-streaming e-commerce emerged as a powerful tool for selling agricultural products. Youths like Fu Bailian, Xiao Meijun and Du Liping, who were passionate about live streaming, took advantage of their skills and teamed up with the Huaihua "Slow Train" team to form the "Spring Plum Blossom Team." They used platforms like Douyin and WeChat Video to livestream on the train, voluntarily helping local villagers sell their agricultural products. The products quickly gained popularity among netizens. As the livestreaming continued, their short video accounts became more popular, attracting more followers and customers. More and more farmers approached the team, hoping to sell their produce through livestreaming.

　　With the success of their efforts, the service team began to think of more ways to help. On the train, they established a "public livestream team" and created a "public benefit farmers' market." To timely update the information on agricultural products and help bridge the information gap between farmers and buyers, they set up a "Product Information" bulletin board inside the slow train in 2023, where the prices of various agricultural products and the contact information of farmers were posted. Off the train, the team took great care in ensuring the quality of agricultural products, working with local governments in Huaihua and Mayang County in Hunan to help farmers package, promote, and market their products for free. They also offered free training to teach farmers how to use online platforms to sell their products, helping them expand their sales channels through livestreaming and reaching more customers beyond the mountainous areas with high-quality feature agricultural products.

　　Since the project's launch in 2021, the service team has visited over 100 households along the railway lines, helping more than 400 fruit farmers from five towns in Mayang County create a combined income of over 30 million yuan. This year alone, the team helped farmers along the railway sell agricultural products worth 11.8 million yuan.
