Since its opening, the China-Laos Railway had operated more than 60,000 freight trains as of September 19, with freight volume exceeding 67.6 million tons, including more than 15 million tons of cross-border cargo. By September 20, more than 80,000 passenger trains had been operated, carrying over 59 million passengers in total.
